Wow, I’ve Seen More Broadway Shows than I Thought

As I wrote my last post, I didn’t realize exactly how many shows I’ve seen.  Coaster enthusiasts track how many coasters they’ve been on, so I wonder if theater enthusiasts track how many shows they’ve seen.  Here is my “track record” of Broadway shows:

Phantom - 3 times, once in Toronto, once in Cleveland, once in Toledo

RENT - 3 times, once in Cleveland, twice in Pittsburgh (all this year, two on back-to-back nights, one from the 2nd row)

Wicked - 2 times, once in Chicago, once in Cleveland

Jesus Christ Superstar - 2 times, once in Cleveland, once in Toledo

The Producers - 2 times, once in Columbus, once in Akron

Miss Saigon - Once, in Akron

Les Miserables - Once, in Toledo

Mamma Mia - Once, in Akron

Cats - Once, in Akron

Chicago - Once, in Akron

Hairspray - Once, in Cleveland

The Sound of Music - Once, in Stratford.

That is all of the professional productions that I have seen, I think.  That’s 19 professional productions.  With this year’s additions, that number could go as high as 24.  That is crazy.
