Jamie is in North Carolina for work all this week. I miss her already. I don’t like sleeping alone anymore. I know, I’m a whiny bitch.
1 month agoThe Honeymoon is over...
Well actually, we didn’t take a honeymoon. We took a couple days off to get caught up on many things, and actually got all the thank you cards done. They went in the mail today.
Married life is not so different from unmarried life. I’m still getting used to wearing a ring, and am having a hard time remembering to refer to Jamie as “my wife” rather than “my fiancee” or “my girlfriend.”
The wedding went really, really well though. The music was great, the pastor’s message was really nice, and we had zero no-shows. My step-dad did show up in the end, and I think he had an okay time. He didn’t dance with my mom at all though. Whatever, it’s not going to bother me.
In general, I feel like a large weight has been lifted from me. Stress levels are finally coming back down to normal levels. I do wonder, though, what we will do when the house is finished and we have “nothing” major going on. I think it may feel like a let-down because we’re so used to having some major irons in the fire.
Back to work tomorrow and Friday, and then Jamie is gone for a week to North Carolina for work. That will be a difficult week.
